There is only one land border crossing between Guatemala and Belize. It's called Melchor de Mencos, and it's easy to do this border crossing by either shuttle or public transport.

Rentals originating in the United States: Most vehicles rented in the US can be driven throughout US and Canada. Some vehicle classes like Exotics, Large Passenger or Cargo Vans, and other specialty vehicles may not be allowed to travel outside of the US. Vehicles cannot be driven into Mexico.

Cross-border fee is a fee that covers extra taxes, insurance, and other expenses that car rental companies charge. Drivers need to the inform their car rental companies, if they're going to cross countries during their trips.
